fedor is first by far followed by matt hughes...no one else comes close, to put david louiseu, andre arlovski, tim silvia, anderson silva, or even tito in that category is ridiculous. chuck liddell is a very good fighter but does not dominate his division like the others do or for as long. chuck has weaknesses which is his ground game, which isnt that weak but others can beat him there, matt and fedor make their fights look like sparring sessions

Pound for pound, Matt Hughes is probably the single best MMA fighter competing. He has more successful title defenses than any other current champion, and his defeat of Royce Gracie at UFC 60 proves not only that MMA has evolved dramatically in the last 15 years, but that Matt is one of the most complete fighters there is, beating the man who beat Kimo Leopoldo, Ken Shamrock, and Dan Severn.

Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Liddell, Rich Franklin, Phil Baroni, Fedor Emelianenko, and Matt Hughes are the best....

But don't forget: David Louiseau, Tim Sylvia, Andre Arlovski, Anderson Silva, and Tito Ortiz are up there too.

chuck lidell has proven that he's an exceptional mma fighter...

and i hate to say it, but matt hughs is currently the man to be... (grimmace)

i think that george st. pierre is coming into his own, and is going to give matt a run for his money next time they meet..

and of course, frank shamrock is and will always be top dog.. he's not in ufc anymore but he finished a mma competition in CA last month and looked amazing! maybe he'll get 2nd thoughts and come back to the ufc limelight again!

(and drop a weight class and kick micky mouse matt hughs off his pedistal *wishfull thinking*)

probably either Fedor Emelianko the undefeated heavyweight champ in PrideFC, or Matt Hughes the welterweight champ in UFC, who beat Royce Gracie in UFC 60. You can't put anyone else even close to those two
