Being hurt is part of life. Don't sleep with him until you know whether or not you want a relationship with him. Hopping into bed with someone too soon is a sure fire way to get hurt.

Go slow. You might not even like each other when you spend some time together. But if you do, then it will be worth the risk of being hurt. You cannot live in a cacoon, fully protected at all times.

If you don't want to get hurt, then you don't want to love.

There is no such thing as painless love! There is ALWAYS the risk of being hurt. If something doesn't cost, it will never be something valuable to us!

You have a key advantage....you know he already likes you back! Most people have no idea what the other person's reaction will be, and they have the additional risk of being rejected when they make their feelings known.

Hurt is never fun, but it's something we MUST come to grips with if we ever hope to experience real love. The alternative is to live your life in a cocoon, insulated from everyone else, and always wondering wondering wondering what love would be like and wishing it would happen to us.

Is that what you want instead? It's up to you. I can't make you choose what I would, but I trust you'll make the right decision.

You can't just avoid relationships because you're afraid of getting hurt. Anything or anyone worth getting involved with has the potential of hurting you. Chances are, it won't last forever, and when it ends it will be painful, but that's life, ya know? If it's not him who hurts you, it will be someone else.
Take a chance, he may turn out to be the love of your life!

Love hurts honey. Jump right on in like the rest of us. But be smart, if he is a bad person or someone who is known to hurt people, step back, make a right, and keep walking.

Best of Luck.

P.S. You don't have to consider him your boyfriend or life partner, it's just a date to see what type of person he is and if you all do have common ground.

Fear, in absence of potential physical injury, is often a sign that there is something you need to resolve. The best way to do that is to do what you want DESPITE the fear. It's obvious from your question that you want to be with this person so do it AND be afraid. They are not mutually exclusive. And as you'll be afraid either way you'll lose nothing but stand to gain a new relationship.

Hurt is one thing we cannot get away from. Just be with the guy and be prepared for anything. What's the point of being by yourself and miserable when you could be with someone you like.

Why must you scared so! If he really really like you so much, why don't give him a try. But don't give him 100% of your trust. Keep it in your-self 30% so when he dump you, you dont get really hurts.

If he is "very nice" like you say then you should go for it, and just watch your back until you are sure you can trust him.

i was once in the same position as you are in now. wat i did was i told the guy (who is now my hubby) my honest feelings about the whole situation & he really took it to heart. he said that if i ever feel that he is putting presure on me i should let him know and it has been working for us ever since. we have been 2gertha for 3 year now. he really loves me and he was willing to wait and do things my way in order for our relationship to work. if this guy really likes you he will be understanding about almost everything.
