Please note, that "because (the Bible, my pastor, my church, my parents, etc) say so will not be considered a valid answer. The question is "why do YOU believe?"

I believe in the God of the Holy Bible and his son Jesus Christ, who is both all man and all God.

Why? My whole life makes since in the context of this belief. Countless times in the past I have tested the teachings of the Bible and found them to be true to what they allege. I've come to know real inner peace from applying His teachings, and all that comes with that. I find that the wisdom of such books as Proverbs is as applicable today as I'm sure they were when they were written.

As an adult, I've realized that I can't make amends for my own failures and my own inadequacies, and that nothing offers any real solace or hope except that which is found in living within the teachings of the Bible.

What about you? Have you found purpose and hope yet? If not, try Jesus and the Bible. If you really give it a chance, you won't be disappointed.

I'm a Christian not because my pastor, my church, my parents, etc taught me to be one. Though there are many reasons for me being a Christian, chief of which is because I know I have sinned and I know someone loves me dearly, I'd like to share something which has transformed my life and given me faith as a Christian..... I was a dunce till (I think)when I was 12 or 13. The year I started reading the Bible changed my life and (I'm not boasting) I know I'm intelligent than all my class mates (now I don't mean cramming things from my text book I mean analytical ability and IQ) and my own classmates have recognised my transformation. It was dramatic and it was great from my point of view. How would it be once you are just top of everything all of a sudden. Almost everyone in my class accepts that I know more than my teachers (one reason is because they know very little). Now I'd like to add I'm not cooking up stuff to answer you. Apart from this there have been times when I was depressed, desperate crying and praying I've felt the Love of Jesus very strongly. That Love just sets my heart on fire and I treasure it. Today I'm 16 and I'm looking forward to having a bright future when compared to all my peers.... By dunce I mean it, I had a brother(elder) who always topped at school and in other areas too. My parents firm belief was that he was intelligent and I'm ..... No one knew how much that attitude hurt me so as to wet my pillows every night. But today my brother himself accepts(not to me ofcourse) that I'm smarter than him... When I just look back to what I was and see what I'm now I can't help wetting my eyes... I'm ever debted to my Master
PS: I used to pray(not very often) with this verse
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

I believe in one God who are three, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
No while I do not believe this because of my paster, my church, my parents, etc, I believe it because the Bible said so. I believe it for no other reason than because the Bible is thew truth and I stand on the Truth, written in God's Word, i.e. The Bible.
The confirmation to the Bible is what God has spoken to me, through His Spirit, into my heart.

Allah is the One and Only God. He is the God of prophet Adam, Moses, Isaac, Joseph, Joshua, Abraham, Noah, Jesus, John the Baptist, Muhammad (SAW), etc. He is known by different names due to language over time; in essence He is One, He begets not, nor is He begotten, nothing is like Him, He existed before existence and He will continue to exist after this existence ends. He is the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious. Any thing you can taste, touch, feel, hear, see, is not Him b/c any thing you compare Him to, is other than Him. These are perceptions of our material existence. He is greater than can be described or imagined.

When I was 18 I was dope-smoking(and other drugs) and depressed. I met Jesus in a powerful way.

And my Life has never been the same since. Jesus has been my God, my life and love, for 30 years now.

He has sent me the best friends on this earth I could ever ask for and we have made it through divorce, poverty, career changes, college(twice)and teenagers! With grace and dignity and becoming a better person through each trial.

Without God in my life I am sure I would have been dead by age 20.

I believe in and honor multiple gods. Some of the main ones:
Don who is a river goddess and the mother of the gods
Taranis who is a storm deity
Lugh who is a multifaceted deity, a god of skill, leadership and storms
Rhiannon (Epona) who is a horse goddess and a goddess of sovereignty
Sulis who is a deity of healing
Cernunnos who is an Otherworld deity
There is also a river goddess near my home that I honor

The reason that I believe in them is because through the years I have nurtured a relationship with them and they have allowed me to get to know them. I suppose it would all boil down to simply my personal experiences with them.

There is one true God and that is the Almighty God.

Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 25:38 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God. (We are decendants of these people)

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

He means that we are to worship Him only. For we are not to worship another person, money, idols, etc.

I believe in God because He is who He says He is. I also have a daily ongoing relationship with HIm. He talks to me everyday and leads me thorugh out my life. Only someone who was A Christian would understand what that experience is like. Accept Christ today, and You too can have that wonderful experience with God and His son Jesus.

I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ became a man so that He could come to the earth and die on the cross for my sins. He was God manifested in the flesh. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. I believe in what He done for me on the cross. His Spirit bears with my spirit that I am a son of God. Romans 8: 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8: 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

I believe in my God, Jehovah, the one who inspired the writing of the bible, the almight creator who had no beginning.

Why?

Bible prophecy written in advance has always come true.

Bible agrees with science.

Jehovah has always answered my prayers, even very specific ones, giving me the assurance that he is there and willing to help me.

Because I feel God everyday. I know he is real. I allow him to work in my daily life. I'm constantly reminded of whats right and wrong in my life. He has answered all my prayers whether it be yes, no, or not now. If you don't believe God is real just look out the window.
