I have a bunch in my garden. Do I have to dry them? Can I eat them fresh? Any advice is appreciated.

Black beans are an exelent addition to soups or chili's, or one of my favorites is to use them in tacos or some similar dish or salad, however, if you are using fresh black beans make sure you wash them off really well and let them dry completly before cooking to avoid breakage and un-needed gas build up.

If the beans haven't dried, I believe you can follow the normal cooking directions for dried black beans, minus the soaking time.

If you have fresh black beans, one thing you can do is get your bathtub ready for an AWESOME bubble bath.... hehehehehe. Excellent question though.

Soak them, if they are dry, and then slow cook them.

Put them on some rice, get out the hot sauce, and have a feast!
