The reason many illegal aliens come here illegally is because they cannot pass the background checks, and or the medical exams. Americans have sponsered many programs through private donations to help poor immigrants migrate here legally. I have friends that have gone through the immigration process, and other than the medical exams, and background checks, they are only required to learn English, and our laws. Many of the programs sponsor GED programs so that these workers can also be skilled. There are far more reasons to migrate legally, then there are reasons to migrate illegally. Legal immigrants qualify for grants to open businesses, buy homes, and establish themselves in America. In many cases they are even given free college educations, so I am not buying the illegals plight. Illegals are the criminal element that can not get across the border legally, so they further criminalize themselves here in America. The American dream is handed to immigrants, not illegals

I agree with you. And to those who say on here, "You're wrong - it's too HARD for the average person to get through the legal process because USA immigration laws are too strict." I say to these people, "Too BAD! The USA has a right to make their laws as they see fit and to pick and choose what type of immigrants they want to allow to come into the country. And, if you don't/can't qualify under the immigration laws, then too bad! It means you are not a desireable type to immigrate here and so you should seek out another country to immigrate to where you WILL be able to qualify. Or, you need to figure out what things you can do for yourself to ensure that you WILL qualify! Don't cry that 'It's TOO HARD!!" Boo hoo hoo!

I am a legal immigrant from Mexico and i tried all the possible legal ways for 15 years to immigrate legally to "America".
This is something Americans don't know or understand about immigration to the US from Mexico. The options are slim to none and VERY hard to accomplish even when you have a masters degree, experience, and even a good amount of money. This is one of the main reasons why immigrants from Mexico are "illegal".
Just getting a simple tourist visa at the American embassy in Mexico is a HUGE and complicated process.
USA has made the process so complicated and almost impossible to follow legally. After 10 years of trying to find my way to this country legally, i gave up and was in the process to get a LEGAL resident visa for Canada when i met my actual wife who happens to be An American born Mexican American. That is why now i live in the USA legally. If it was not for this reason , i would now be living in Toronto where i was initally supposed to immigrate. I am a high middle class Mexican born white Mexican, and i can't even start to explain how difficult all this legal journey has been for me. I speak English fluently. Most other Mexicans arent as lucky as I am when it comes to education, economic resources and culture. So, if it was so hard for me to do this legally and the right way, just think what it is for others in Mexico. Besides, all other countries immigrants in their own time were considered invaders, unwanted and hated in the USA historically. Remember Irish, Korean, German, Pakistanies, etc. Review their moments in immigration to this country, and you will find very little difference. If Americans dont like illegal immigrants in their country, they should first look at their own laws and "rules" .
If legal immigration was possible to Mexicans, believe me, they would do what it takes to do it LEGALLY.
P.S.
AMERICA is a continent not a country.
That is one of the thousands of reasons why people ALL OVER THE WORLD hate "America" (the country) so much.
Calling USA America tells the rest of the world how FULL of your selves you are.
USA is a GREAT country for many reasons, but so are HUNDREDS of other countries, each one in their own way. So, if your goverment tells you your country is the BEST and the greatest , dont take it as an absolute true, go out and see for yourself, RESEARCH, EXPERIENCE, and you will get to understand much better where you were born and the world AROUND you.
Thank you.

So let's get the fence built, get the ICE back on the job, start recalling the politicians that have (possibly deliberately) made such a mess out of the issue, and start sending people home.
Systematic abuse of our immigration system has led to a Huge Mess, that falls squarely in Congress' lap, whether they want to accept responsibility for it, or not. It also falls on state legislatures, they've had opportunities to act on this issue independently of Congress, and instead they sort of dropped the ball, or threw it away, or sold it to somebody for 5 bucks, or something, at any rate they took the interest of illegals over that of the interest of actual CITIZENS, which by some people 's standards amounts to a crime, I think building public awareness on the extent and severity of the illegal immigration issue is key to seeing effective legislation passed, and effective enforcement put behind such legislation. One without the other is kind of useless, they're already telling cops they can't act to deport illegals, why have law enforcement at all if they're not empowered to actually go out and enforce that law? What kind of dope IS Congress smoking, and why won't they share out? LOLOL

It's also because they are too lazy to follow the rules like everyone else. They think they are above the law. This clearly demonstrates their criminal mentality and their threat to national security. They are criminals and are NOT wanted here. If they want to come here then they must do so the legal way.

Now be prepared to be called a racist because you are taking a stand for supporting the law. Many of us on here who regularly speak up and expose what these criminals are doing get called that and worse. But it means they are SCARED of us and of the truth. What they don't realize is that the more they do this and attack us, the more it proves OUR point and makes us even bolder to get them out of here where they don't belong

DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS

that is a lie. it is not as easy as u think or make it out to be. unless u r from another country and went through the process please don't make generalizations. no it's not as easy as the gvmt. makes it seem. sure its easy if ucome from money or have a college education & degree because u would b giving to the US & contributing- not to mention u would probably have a better off social/monetary class in ur own country. in mexico, if u want to apply for a tourist visa u have to have a statements that show u have ample amounts of money in the bank to make sure u won't work in the US. & if u want to apply for a residency or worker visa, u have to pay many hundreds/thousands of DOLLARS in application & process fees- which many ppl in Mexico or S. America do not have. if these ppl don't have money to clothe their children what makes u think they have money to pay fines, fees & medical exams. plse educate urself a little bit more than ur fellow americans. i won't call u a racist- cuz ur probably not, but i do think ur undereducated & somewhat ignorant when it comes to legal processes & cultures in other parts of the world.

I have relatives through marriage who went through the process==Millions have done it. So I don't buy it can't be done.
You might be right that many are afraid of background check and medical. There is reason for this.
. And learning basic English, And the test just means you must study-no one expects you to retain everything-but you should know basics. So above post it is not that hard-millions have done it. And they can get free lawyers to help .And translators.
Your post has merit.

I don't think this is neccessarily a question. Because I certainly don't have an answer. However, since this is more of a statement, I would like to say that I couldn't agree with you more. Thank-you for educating the public. People have their heads in the sand about this issue.
