safe sex
n.
Sexual activity in which safeguards, such as the use of a condom and the avoidance of high-risk acts, are employed to reduce the chance of acquiring or spreading a sexually transmitted disease.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
safe-sex (sfsks) adj.
Usage Note: To emphasize that the probability of acquiring or spreading a sexually transmitted disease is merely reduced and not eliminated when following recommended safeguards, some advocate the use of the term safer sex instead of safe sex.

There really is no such thing as safe sex. The best you could do is make sure you partner is disease free and use protection that has a spermicide in it along with taking birth control regularly.

Not having sex at all. Wait until you're married. 'Safe sex' is supposedly a guy wearing a condom, but that doesn't prevent AIDS and sometimes pregnancy either. Just wait until you're married.
