calc 1, just because its first. you need it's materal for cal 2. plus derivations are usually thought to be easier then intergration which is usually thought to be easier then series.

What difference does it make? Ya gotta have 1 before you can have 2 in any event. I personally found calc to be difficult at all levels. A lot depends on how well prepared you are, and how adept you are a math to begin with. The instructor also makes a big difference. I've found that some really try to teach the subject while others want to fill the board with inigmatic equations to show off.

Calculus 1 is easier because , depending on the teacher and book you use, half of the course will really be pre-calc and trig...you might get up to integrals in the latter part.

caculus 1 because its like an introduction to calculus 2.

I'm just gonna take a shot here and say calc 1....because it comes before 2 and usually as you progress it gets harder...

in my opinion calc is hard no matter what it is! lol
