He pretended that he was going to work and showed up at my door later that night after driving 200 miles to bring me a husky puppy for Valentines Day. (He really thought about this one and put effort into it - that is why it was so great).

While he was in a medical study this past March, April and May, 1200 miles away (he has a nerve disease and no one where we live knows much about it), instead of sitting feeling sorry for himself, he carved me a gorgeous jewelry box that took about 3 1/2 weeks and laminated my daughter's pictures in the inside of the lid and wrote on the bottom how much I mean to him. I cried when I saw it.

in our anniversary my bf gave me a little box (too little, i thought!) and i joked "they didn't have anything smaller??" but when i opened it, it was the key to his apartment!!! i never felt that bad after saying a joke...
