Pink hair?????

I have natural dark blonde hair and I want to dye it black. Then i want to use Special Effects ATomic Pink do i have to bleach it or just dye it over my black? please HELP!

I've been dying my hair since I was 11. I'm currently 16 and I live with a cosmotologist. So I know alot about hair.



Dirty Blonde hair going black will be good. It will look good, if you're going for that hole goth look. Do you have a bit of a tan? Or are you really faired skin? Afterwards. Think about it alot hunny. The pink will come off in a matter of weeks. The Black, won't. Until your hair regrows it.

Firstly, read the bottle nananana and all that stuff. Dye your hair black first, and let it sit for about 45 minutes. Make sure to get your roots really good. I know people say, dont let the dye get onto your scalp, but it doesnt really do anything. It just dyes your scalp until next time you wash it. It comes off, no worries. .

Then wait about a week, and bleach the parts you want pink. I suggest using a blue toned hair bleach, it works faster and lightens faster. Leave it on for no more than 30-45 minutes. If your scalp gets itchy a little bit, its okay. But check to make sure nothing odd is happening. After you put the bleach in your hair, wrap it in tin foil. (I do this after the bleaching and wrapping part. I go take a hairdryer and let the hot air blow on the tinfoil. It adds heat and lightens more.) Then afterwards was it out. Make sure to get your scalp good.


I suggest using Special FX or Punky colors, for crayola hair dyes. I used them both, and they're very good. About a 10 for the FX one, and a 11 for Punky. Then go over the bleach parts with the pink dye. Do what I suggested with the hair dryer after you wrap it in tinfoil. Wash out and there. :]

You have to bleach first, which is going to dry you hair out real bad, so make sure you get an anti damaging shampoo before you do that.

Another way you can do it is to take some if you hair, and put it in tinfoil or seran wrap while you do the black dye and then dye the portions you protected.

dont do it at all. naturally blonde hair is really pretty. but blonde hair dyed black never looks good, not to mention u r about to add some pink to it.

Melissa R, had good advice; to go to a salon with a good reputation, that might be difficult in some cases, 'cause ones reputation proceeds them. As far as the dying thing goes, reconsider what you're trying to accomplish, then think it over again.

Do like the 2nd p.c., shop the below brown and make the suited a gloomy, rosy crimson. it may look completely amazing! You have to bleach it because puttin it over the black won't do anything bein that your hair isn['t stripped which is what bleach does.
