I cannot really answer your question but I want to point out a couple of things, I don't believe any country has "Gay asylum" and you are looking to "immigrate" not migrate, that is unless you are a goose, gay or otherwise.

Yes, gay rights are protected BY LAW here.
Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms prevents people from discriminating or inciting hatred towards all minorities: ethnic, diabled, gay or otherwise. You will find Canada is a VERY accepting society. We are one of the only countries in the world that recognizes gay marriage.
In fact, treatment of homosexuals in Iraq has been on the news a bit recently.. Canadians care about your cause!
also given your situation you have a very legitimate claim for refugee status / asylum and I urge you to seek out the nearest Cdn consulate
see links below for list of regional consulates to find one close to you - as well as our government's criteria for asylum - and a link to the recently broadcast program, on our national radio, about homosexuals in Iraq .
good luck!
EDIT:
as I am aware, the Americans CANNOT be trusted to provide you protection within Iraq. According to the information I have heard they do not want to risk offending the religious leaders there over this cause.
EDIT EDIT:
the man interviewed was El-Farouk Khaki, from the Muslim Canadian Congress. There website front page describes their official position regarding equal rights for gays. Perhaps you can approach them for help.

Most Western countries protect their gay citizens in one form or another. However, you'll want to look into countries that provide political asylum specifically for gays and lesbians from Muslim countries. I believe that the Netherlands is one such country. You may want to contact the US embassy in Baghdad or through the US State Department website and they will be able to provide you with information as to which countries will keep you safe from deportation. I promise you, the people at the embassy understand your plight and the potential danger you are facing as a gay/lesbian person. They will do their best to help you. Nonetheless, you really need to get out of there. The best of luck to you, love! I hope you know that we are all pulling for you. I will be praying for you.

The law applies to gays as well as to straights. There's no special treatment for homosexuals, but they're certainly not persecuted for their sexual preference (*ahem* countries towards the warmer south). It's a very liberated society, Canadian's are mostly open minded enough to not care what your sexual definition is. Cheers.

Yes! More so than the "good ol' U. S. of A."....
For example, it's legal for 2 gay people to be married there!

Right on, "ronrlogan". Listen to this man, he is right. In addition to what he says, please stay where you are. People from Iraq don't seem to be very nice. They "blow up" their own kind. We aren't into that here.
