I doubt that you'll be able to. Hire construction worker for this type of job. You'll get a big fine for doing this yourself. Your City Building Code for fireplace has to be done by licensed construction worker. Good luck...

there are several routes to build a fire place the old way with stones or brick, but nowadays a lot of fireplaces use natural gas, one can buy a mantel,or have one built with bricks,or they even make fake fireplaces,that will look like a real flickering fire
