More than likely you have had experiences with people around you and the truth before. One thing that helps me understand why I am not so accepting of new people and situations is this...alot of the time we use self defeating personality traits to asess our situations in life. We HAVE experienced something before so of course, it's going to turn out the same way it did the first time when it happens again, there is no doubt about it. WHEN in reality, nothing happens the exact same way twice, and we damn the situation before it even starts. My advice to you is this, even though there is a butt load of people out there that would rather lie and keep things from you, there are a lot of truthful, trusting, goodhearted people who aren't even going to be given a chance to be heard or believed because of your past experiences, so lighten up, and give yourself a chance to believe someone again. I know it's hard, but unless you try to trust someone and stop being so indecisive about whether someone is telling the truth or not, you're entire life is going to be an endless circle of questioning. Look at it this way, if someone is lying, oh well, as long as you are a truthful trustworthy person, you have nothing to worry about. Liars are always found out in the end, and the truth shall set you free.
