Religion has been such a controversial issue these days that i feel that alot of people believe in God but when what then want doesnt happen of if something bad happens their faith is tested and it is at that point that people stop believing in God. Myself included i am a recovering drug addict of 8 years and a survivor of Katrina and I found myself straying from the belief of God but now that he is in my life 100 percent my life is great and i know that he will not put anything in front of me that i cant handle. Believing is the first step having faith is the second trusting him with your life is the hardest but when you do Great things will happen and all the bad things will make you stronger. Thanks for being a believer and God Bless!

Forgive me if I don't find this argument compelling enough.

The fact is that we have thought about this issue a lot and our conclusion is that there is no god. "u just got to believe" simply doesn't cut it for us.

And, why should we believe? To join the intolerant, bloodthirsty ranks of the faithful? I'd rather not shackle myself like that.

To me its not such a big deal if someone believes or not in God.

If someone doesnt so what?, i dont feel hurt, im catholic but not a fanatic. And remember you need to see God or Jesus in every human being, u need to treat them as if they were Jesus, love them without asking for a condition like if u dont believe in God i dont love u, thats wrong.

I'm not saying he is or isn't "there" just want to play the devil's advocate...

You could just as easily say "why don't people believe in the great purple penguin who created this world...he's there, you just got to believe, he's like your best friend...etc..."

Hey the same thing works for santa

Some people are atheists. They only believe in the sciences. I wouldn't say that they're bad people or anything. I just find it lonely.

if he is our best friend, where is he?how are we supposed to believe in something we cant see, isn't that a little crazy?I'm sooo sick of people who have been brainwashed to the point where they believe in imaginary beings!!!!!!you could be classified as schizophrenic if you don't watch who you talk that crap too.when god shows himself and gives me some real proof then i might believe.quit telling people to have faith, believe, blah blah blah my ***!!!!!im not crazy i am perfectly sane because i do not believe in imaginary beings in the sky!!!!!oh my goodness

Because if there really was a god, he would never allow for the creation of people so obviously stupid that they would write as inanely and moronically as you do.

You dont know that.
You're guessing.
Nobody needs convincing of the sky- its always there where you can percieve it. I dont need to 'believe' anything to believe in the sky.
