A kid that old might have some or a lot of behavior problems as what the others say...but if he's not from your place, even if you're the same age you can act as an older sister, try to show him around, make him feel at home...if he'll resist then just don't force him...he'll eventually come out and warm up to you guys once he'll realize that he's got a new loving and supportive family. I salute you and your parents for doing so:-)

Imagine how much love you could give him...
and how fun it would be to grow up with a brother...
You guys could go to Disney together, or camping.. or to the movies...
He doesn't know what it means to be loved...
why would want to deny that to him?
Don't worry...Your parents will never stop to love you.
Not even death can separate a parent love from his child.

Good for you! You could get a brand new brother. Try to look at all the positive things that could come from that. To get the ball rolling... He can stick up for you, he could have cute friends your age, and I let you come up with more.

hats off to you. yes, the kid ur family is adopting might have some issues b/c of this country's stupid foster care system. but how would u feel if u were taken away/lost ur parents? i'm glad you're giving this kid some sense of family!

A kid that old might have a lot of behavior problems. Unless they already know this kid, I'd think about it twice.
