We have more than any other country because we have had the technology for a longer period of time.

There are many other countries who also have nukes.

We have no problem with other countries having nuclear power. However, as it stands, the global community is in a sort of, non arming stage. Because so many of us have nulcear capabilities, instead of risking cold wars, or actual detonation, we have agreed to notify the UN, and make all intentions clear with any nuclear endevor.

This is something that North Korea agreed to themselves many years ago. In fact, they agreed to remain a nuclear free country. When they changed their mind the UN (UNITED NATIONS, not the united states) insisted they allow monitoring for the sake of the global community.

When nations refuse to do this, the reasons become obvious. ESPECIALLY when they have in the past been hostile towards other nations. Such as iran and north korea.

The US isnt the only country fighting to keep the world safe.

The only proven deterant to the use of Nuclear Weapons is the threat of reciprocal use. In other words, if you use your nuclear weapons on me, I will use them on you.

Current nuclear weapons have the capability of killing millions of people with each strike, and the US has over 10,000 nuclear weapons. The damage is not limited to just Human deaths. All plants and animals (just about) are killed as well. Infrastructure is damaged. Additionally, the radiated area will have lethal levels of radiation for a long time.

The results of the use of these weapons are catastrophic to the environment as well, and could potentially end all life on earth.

There are some leaders, and people, such as the Iranian leader, who probably believe they are headed for 72 virgins in heaven and place at God's side, if they use those weapons. They don't care about the consequences.

I hope you understand the US concern now.

Yes the United States of America has nuclear weapons. The US (along with other countries) do not want certain countries to have them for fear they will make very bad decisions with them. And possibly start WW3, think about it for a minute, all these jihadist who don't care if they loose their own life's just to kill others who don't believe what they do. Christians aren't even that radical. Now could you imagine a nuclear weapon in their hands? I certainly don't want to.

The US has lots of them.

Eventually, the "law-of-averages" says the more countries that have nuclear weapons, the greater the chance that through evil intention or by accident, one of them is going to go off in the enemys' direction. And that could be the start of World War 3, or the end of the world as we know it.

Yes, we do have nuclear weapons and, well, we don't mind non-dictatorial countries that abide international law such as Israel, England, France or Germany having them. We just mind them being in the hands of those willing to use them for their own gain; and, really, you probably should too.
