Whoa!
First of all, why are you measuring hair that can be UP to your waist? Just trim that forrest down. Use a beard trimmer on 2 or so and get that taken care of.

On the other hand, I had hair DOWN to my waist and I loved it. I cut it to give the ponytail to Locks of Love. I'm growing it out again to do the same thing.

My hair is almost down to my waist, and i think its nice. But its hard to brush and wash long hair, so think again before you decide.

Yes. After the age of about 12 hair that long is too long. Unless it is very nice and healthy...then it looks ok, but if it's straight you should get some layers cut into it.

Whatever is right for you should be completely fine. Just make sure to get trimmed every once in a while. If you're feeling daring you could even surprise your friends with a short shoulder blade length cut!

UP to your waist? What kind of hair are we talking about?

If it's growing UP to your waist, I think it's time to shave your legs! If it's DOWN to your waist, and you're comfortable with it, keep it. Real men prefer women who can prove that they take that extra time on themselves.

I know people who have their hair a lot longer. It's all a matter of what you want.
