My brother says I can't have a b/f till Im married what do i do

It depends. If it's your parents saying no, then I wouldn't do it, but where as, if it was my brother I would talk to my parents and ask them to allow me to be responsible and have a boyfriend. - Lexi age 11

Well, if you were married you wouldn't have a boyfriend. But I'm going to be honest with you. Dating is something that doesn't have to be done. But I was raised to remember this verse in the Bible. A man that finds a wife finds a good thing. So, of course we are going to run into men everywhere, but we don't have to say that we need to have someone. Because, the one the we pick may not be the one that God wanted us to have. personally, I don't date, I think it's a waste for time. There are other things that you can think about other than having a boyfriend. By it's that when this is far from you mine, and your happy being single. The right person will come, and you won't have to go through all that mess that you've seen others go through. So, if you can enjoy being single.

OK no disrespect to your family but are they know to have arranged marriages? Because that is the only way you can only have a boyfriend when you are married. ????? And since when does the brother override your parents.

If not then maybe they will not mind if you dated someone who has intentions on getting married. Make the arguement that you do not want to end up with someone who will bring shame to your family so you need time to check these guys out. You don't buy the first shoe you see so why marry like that.

Your brother is crazy. If you don't date around at least a LITTLE bit, then you'll never get married! Talk to your brother- tell him you would like to date guys, and you'll make sure that he gets to meet them before you go out on the date. If he can come up with a reasonable explanation for why you shouldn't date the guy- then maybe you should listen to him. Don't yell at your brother, try to come up with a compromise. But it is your life- you should be able to decide who you date.

Well first of all, that's impossible. He's just messing with you. But from my own experiences I would seriously recommend not having a boyfriend until after high school because there's too much drama and temptation involved. I know you're probably going to have one anyone anyways but you'll see what I mean. Also, listen to what you're parents say. If they say no boyfriend until you're 16 I would listen to them because if they find out you've been dating behind their back, they're not going to trust you in the future and you'd just be setting limitations on yourself.
