I know yoga is a great way but I mean like I wake up in the morning waht kind of stretches can i do and do before i go to bed. Someone told me if your stretch everyday when you wake up and before you go to bed you will become more flexible. What are sone stretches that I can do to acomplish this? I am so darn stiff anymore that I cannot get comfortable when I sleep.

I can think of some.... how about touching your toes (stretches the back of your thighs), bending your knee and grabbing your foot behind your bum (stretches the front).

I used to do this one before ballet where you lie on your belly, then use your arms to push your chest up, stretching your head back, and bending your knees. You end up touching your head to you feet in a circle shape.

Oh just get a yoga book. There are too many!

What area are you trying to get flexible in (shoulders, thighs, lower back, all of the above)??
What ever you decide, remember not to bounce (aka: ballistic stretching) but stretch s-l-o-w-l-y. Otherwise, will experience small tears in the muscle fibers (aka: stretch reflex; and a way to save a muscle from OVER stretching itself).

Okay.. beofre I got into americheer i was not extremely felxible but this really helps me.. ALOT. pleas etake my advice this urely works, promise.

Sit down on your butt and sread your legs into a split as far as they can go, without being too uncomfortable becuase you will be sitting like this for a while. Then bring your body down to the floor. at first maybe your upper arms and head will touch, but after enough of these someone can sit on your back while your in a straddle and your upper body will be touching the ground.

k if u knw yoga den u shudnt b askin dis questin dont strech mch b4 goin 2 bed infact 4rm my point 4 view u shudnt do dat, strechs shoud b done in mornin or in evenin wen ur stomach is empty. n atnight u shud go 4 walk.start doin jogin.
