You should contact your bank and ask. Maybe there is a website where you can enter the city/country & find the exact locations where you can use it. That would be good info to have with you. (Ask your bank if you can find the info online -- or maybe they can print it out for you.)

I am not sure where Fuerteventura is but I'm sure if it's anywhere near Ventura CA its good.

you should be able to use it just bare in mind if you use it to take out cash from an ATM then it is best to get out a large ammount as you will be charged (around £2.50 per withdrawal) by your bank. If in doubt contact your bank for details of charges etc

Yep, you should be able to.... both Cirrus and Maestro are widely accepted in all European cashpoints.
