apply plenty of conditioner. My hair is very wavy and I get split ends all the time and my hairdresser told me to do this. Also when you straighten your hair put in some leave in conditioner. It won't do your hair any harm and it will look shiny and healthy and feel soo soft

this is what i do to get shiny hair

1) Rinse your hair with cold water daily or a few timez a week(u dont to need 2 do shampoo. conditioners work fine 2)

2) Deep condition your hair often (like once in every 2 weeks)

3) and here's my secret: mix pomade with regular hair conditioner. mix thoroughly. b sure 2 use a small amount of pomade. Then divide ur hair in2 4 section, and layer a thin layer of the mix, that u can feel and see 2 one section of the hair. Do this with all sections. Pile ur hair on the top of ur head, cover with a shower cap or towel. And wait for 5-10 minutes. Remove the cap, and rinse w/ cold water. And there u go...SHINY HAIR!

Of course you can if I can. Seeing as my mother is a cosmotologist I get a bit of an advantage with that. Anyways...

I used to straighten my hair all the time every morning. I use good shampoos. Finessee shampoos and contioners are great. The one for dry hair, are the best. Charles Worthington are awesome too. The Big Sexy Hair collection are good for sexy looks after your straigthened your hair. Then do a hair coat with mayonnaise and an egg every 3 weeks. Trim your hair tips. And thats it.

For less straightening everyday. I suggest sectioning your hair before you straigthen it. Then spritz your hair with hairspray, and straighten it. It keeps the straight look more. :]

I think the only way you can protect your hair is by having breaks from straightening. Because no matter what shampoo / conditioner and heat protectors you use, they can only do so much. Eventually (and I know this from all my girlfriends who straighten religiously) they have all been told that they have to stop doing it so regularly because it does just break the hair.
