This has something to do with home schooling? If you live in a large city, there may be a home schoolers group that gets together for certain group learning activities, gym class, and field trips.
It might be a challenge to find them - as well as searching on the internet, try asking at the teacher store, or at the library. If home schoolers band together, they can accomplish more than if they try to do it all themselves.
