I would say that your boyfriend is lazy and yes, he is selfish as well. I don't know your exact situation, but my guess is that you have probably sacrificed much bigger things than a day off for him and you probably deserve a little reciprocity. I mean, not that all guys are pigs or anything, but a ride to work when he has nothing to do (he said it was too far, not that he had other errands to run) is selfish and lazy.

You haven't provided much detail here. That makes it difficult to answer. However, if you are in a committed relationship I'd say he's being selfish in refusing to take you to work. Since he's off and you have to work your time in the car would be time spent together on a day when you won't see each other much.

No, he is not selfish! Its his day off. Why should he have to get up and take you all the way to work on his day off? If it was raining and you were having car trouble, then that would be different. I'm afraid you are the selflish one here, dear.

No, he deserves a day off. We all need time away from work.
What you should have done is offered to make out with him at work - like in his cube, at his desk, on the conference room table or in one of the restrooms. Or if there was a warehouse, have him play hide and go seek with you. Every time he finds you, you have to take off one article of clothing and leave it where he found you.

I'd definitely take you to work with me and play games with you there - it would be worth it on my day off.

No, he wants to relax. It's his day off let him relax. He shouldn't have to drive all over the place on his day off, especially if it is a relatively long distance.

Are you living with your boyfriend?

If you are living together without being married, then you've already shown him that you are not worth his time or his trouble, period, under any circumstances. Too often, women put themselves in the position of "prostitute" by expecting favors, money, housing, food, and clothes from men who are not their husbands. They are paid for "their services." I doubt he feels much responsibility towards you in that case. He'd obviously paid for your services in some other way. Being a taxi for you to your job wasn't required from him.

OR was he going to have to go to your house, pick you up, and then take you to work? Would taking you to work have made him late for his job? Had you made arrangements with him the night before? Did he consent to pick you up at a certain time---for you to be ready to go---then he would to take you to work ?

There are too many factors in there to place blame on just your boyfriend. It is your boyfriend's responsibility to get himself to work on time. It is your responsibility to get yourself to work on time. It is not your boyfriend's responsibility to get you to your job.

If you were married, then your husband would have known about your not having a vehicle---the reasons for your not having a vehicle---and you and he would have made arrangements for you to get to work. As husband and wife, you are both responsible to and for each other. Therefore, you are there to help each other in situations such as getting to work if one does not have a vehicle.
