I would go to a Hallmark store(where they sell cards & gifts). I say this because they know what to give a person for every year. Each year represents something. Marriage for instance; there is a silver & a gold wedding anniversary. On a birthday, however, they just might know what you should send. If you still can't decide, you can do one of two things: send her something that you like, for yourself, the best gifts are those we love most. Don't be too into yourself, though, she might like it so much, you'll want it back.lol The other is by browsing in an antique store, a flea market, the more bizarre, the better. Just let her know that you were thinking of her. Sometimes, it's not the size of the gift, but the substance of the heart, in which the gift lies. Enjoy your time together. Flowers are always good. Not Roses, just a nice fancy bouquet of different flowers done with ribbon and stuff.
Jewellery , maye engraved with a nick name or pet name or a date that is special to you.
A holiday to Paris, Barcelona, Dublin, Madrid or Venice. Or if the budget is bigger, Dubai, South Africa or Maldives.
If you dont want to or dont have the time to go away book a nice hotel with a big bath in the room or a Jacuzzi. And put rose petals in the water and have a glass of wine or bubbley.
If you havent got alot of money go for something simple. A nice meal out.
