Yes you have made me think. I am up for the challenge. Your points are interesting and I have pondered on them, researched them, etc. Through all that, I am still a Chritian. It just makes sense.

There are some atheists that bring up some interesting points, that is true, unfortunately, many atheist don't.
Some bring up some valid points and have honest, well thought-out questions, and those I will answer. Others only repeat the same idiotic question over and over - those I don't bother with.
I think it is unfortunate that the "bad" atheists are giving all of you a bad name and reputation on Yahoo! Answers. I know that there are also more than a few "Christians" on this site that try to shove Christianity down your throat and those are giving the rest of us a bad name.
So, to sum it up, I will admit that some of you as some very good questions and bring up some very interesting points, and some have made me think a little - but none have ever caused me to question my beliefs.

Honestly, Atheists make no sense whatsoever to me. I'll admit that I'm a Christian, but even if I wasn't I would at least believe in something because I can't imagine how depressing it would be to go through life not having faith in anything at all. Once you die, that's it? I just don't understand. Atheists also generally do a very poor job of presenting their case, because I don't know any Christians who have swayed their beliefs due to one of these people. Personally, I have not invested any thought in the idea of becoming an Atheist and I never will. Keep trying...

Someone stated that if you believe in something, you are not an atheist. Wrong. The definition is belief in no god, or no belief in god. Some atheists do raise good points, but not this one. You make us look like idiots. When you read us atheists comments? No. When you read our comments; yes.
I have seen the christians again attacking those that do not agree with them. Why? If you have your faith, why call names? Isn't forgiveness what your religion is all about? But yet, you do not forgive an opinion you do not agree with. Sad really.
I am not trying to change any ones mind about faith or religion. I am a non believer because I choose to be. I do not have rocks for a brain, nor am I stupid, as some of those that have answered have stated about the asker. This is why we will never get along in society.

Oh, absolutely. Frankly, I think that any Christian who can't answer an atheist's question shouldn't be answering anyone's questions. We should always have an answer when someone questions our faith.
"Making us think" is not the same as getting us to agree with you, though. But, yeah, any Christian who replies they've NEVER read a question posed here by an atheist that hasn't made them think ... well, they're lying, or they never think about what they believe, so they're on autopilot! A Christian on autopilot is a terrible thing to behold.
I used to be a proud atheist, myself. I thought I had all the answers, too. I shake my head constantly, because I see atheists pose the same questions I once did. That's why I don't run away from here and never look back.

I am a Christian, and yes, some of the comments by atheists have made sense to me. The atheists I know are all intelligent people, and I understand (but I do not agree with) much of what they are saying. What I don't understand is all of the Bible thumpers out there who think that atheists are satan worshippers who don't care about their own souls! I also don't see how you can call yourself a Christian one minute and put down someone (even an atheist) the next!

l would agree that many atheist bring up some interesting comments. And some Christians don't have very good answers for a lot of them. l also believe as a Christian we are the most disagreeble group of faith on this earth. That's why we have so many different Christian faiths and denominations.Which is the main cause of disbelief. l believe the God is a Loving and fair creator who allows us to decide for ourselves for all our own actions and beleif's. And when he returns to this earth he will give us all a reward for the life we've lived. Even to the most wicked sinner who has truely repented his sin's will be erased. And to the unrepended God will give fair judgement as well.

Oh sure, there are certainly some well educated individuals on here that ask thought provoking questions but to be honest, I asked myself most of these questions a long time ago when I decided to convert back to Catholicism. So some make sense, yes but most of what is being said I myself have already thought over and researched.

You have no idea how much I enjoy you (Atheists). Like I said in the past, I don't get to encounter any in my every day life...it has been an eye opener! But I really like you and respect your views. Also, as iron sharpens iron, you have been really good for me. You help me put into words what I know in my Spirit, you make me look at how a lot of people actually view christianity. Yes, you are a blessing in my life. Thank you.

To be honest, of all possible beliefs, Atheism is the most difficult for me to really understand. I just cannot fathom that everything around us and in the universe happened by chance. From the fact that our earth has to be RIGHT where it is to sustain life to how intricately our bodies function, to the fact that humans are sooo much more evolved than any other species (yeah yeah monkeys share 99% of DNA whatever, have they ever built a skyscraper or flown to the moon?) Yeah, athiesm just doesn't make any sense to me at all.

No, you have never made me question my beliefs. Not once. The points most atheist make can be answered by just reading the rest of the passage that you are quoting from a bible you don't understand.
