Yes, The scars would take about 9-12 months to flatten. The scar will not disappear completely but the scar color will lighten over a period of time.

Yes, there will be a scar. The surgeon will do the best he can to minimize the scar, AND, he should be able to place it in such a way that some of it can be hidden in the natural folds of the skin and pubic area.

Ugly. Depends on how sensitive you are. If you want to wear midriff-exposing outfits, you can always wear a bit of make up.

BTW, in answer to the wise guy who thinks you should simply exercize. It the skin has already been stretched out from fat or pregnancy, no amount of exercize will make the skin recover its tightness. That is the usual reason for a tummy tuck.

I've yet to see anyone who has their body sliced into come out of it without some type of scar. Depends on what your definition of ugly is I guess.

if a tummy tuck is really needed, then a leftover scar should be welcomed, how about diet and exercise? r u handicapped and unable to exercise?

it can but that is why you do a lot of research about it and about the doctors that you would be considering...make sure they know what they are doing and not doing it just for the money. make sure they are accredited
