Howdy,

I'm gonna speak for myself and myself only. I went on a high protein diet for 30 days (roughly 1 month) and during that time I lost 30 lbs. So, do the math. That's about 1 pound a day.

This diet was loosely based on Atkins. My approach wasn't consideranly healthy, but I lost the weight and it was clearly visible.

My strategy:
1) Consume a breakfast of eggs, a lunch of lean meat and a dinner of red meat. Small servings of vegetables accompanied each meal (usually asparagus or brocoli).

2) Exercised religiously. 30 minutes a day. Usually biking and/or running.

3) Never eating beyond 7:00pm. I'd end each day with a 30 minute exercise.

4) Ketone strips. These can be purchased at Walgreens or any other pharmaceutical store. They provide excellent motivation more than anything.

5) Kept my caloric intake under 500 calories for the first two weeks. My carbohydrates at 30.

By no means is this process healthy or reccommended, but it worked for me. Infact, by week 3 I was consuming an entire jar of peanut butter and still losing weight.

Naturally this is insanely brutual to your body. So be prepared for any potentially damaging after effects.

The bottom line is just eat healthy and exercise.

- Josh

Doing it on the second - misplaced approximately 10lbs within the first 2 weeks (Induction). No truly part results (had been taking further fibre and nutrition tabs). Still have milk in espresso that's supposedly no longer allowed - however just a splash. Should do extra recreation and do not drink something like what they endorse, nevertheless it nonetheless appears to be operating. I was once keen on pastry and top carb meals - I am hoping if I can hinder going again to these in time I must be OK. If you're severely chubby getting it off is as an alternative extra main than demanding approximately the part results - the error such a lot men and women make approximately the Atkins is all approximately the primary two weeks - its no longer and you'll be able to return to having fruit and grains in time.

it's a risky way to lose weight--and may be hazardous to your health

fyi, dr. atkins died of heart disease and problems a few years back (shows how GREAT the atkins diet is)

atkins diet tells you to cut out all carbs from your diet, causing your body to undergo a state of ketosis
to simply put it this way: you NEED carbs to survive--just eat good carbs like whole wheat bread, whole oats, plenty of fruits and vegetables (also carbs)--if you feel you need a snack--have a fruit

plus carbs allow you to better absorb healthy proteins like chicken breast, fish, etc.

atkins diet has no restrictions on "fatty" proteins like bacon, sausages--if anyone has common sense--they would know eating too much of bacon or sausages would clog your arteries...

sure you may lose weight--but it won't keep you healthy inside

the best way to lose weight is to eat correctly (yes with good carbs...stay away from processed carbs like donuts, highly refined sugar products, soft drinks) and have a good exercise plan

the weight will come off --and you will be healthy--on the outside, and on the inside as well

good luck
