first time cruise with an 8 year old?

Question

I am going on the carnival sensation for a bahamma cruise..I am so nervous that i am going to get seasick...if i take drammine and/or wear a arm motion sickness patch will it work completely?? Also, we are staying in a stateroom with a window, are the staterooms nice?

also, me and my daughter recieved our boarding passes but my did did not, when i called them they said it is o.k. as long as his name is on the fun pass document. has anybody else not gotten a boarding pass?

i am also freaking out when i am in the middle of nowhere and wont be able to get off the boat when i want. i took this trip for my dad and daughter. we are all first time cruisers

Good thing you have the window! It will help with the seasickness. I get seasick bad! I went on a 7 day cruise and took Bonine. It helped a little, but when I got off the boat I felt like I was still moving. I watched a show called Myth Busters where they tested many things the claim to help seasickness. Nothing worked for this one man except ginger. He took a ginger pill and did not get motion sick at all! Try it!

Most of the rooms are the same on a cruise unless you get a luxury suite. I had a room with a balcony and loved it! It really helped to get some fresh air. All the rooms, window, no widow, balcony are small. The showers are tiny so prepare to bump your elbows!

The ship is so big that you will not feel a need to escape. There is so much to do that it will keep your mind active.

I'm not sure about the boarding pass. I'm sure your name is listed somewhere so you should worry about it if they told you this. Hope this helps! Bon voyage!

cool ill be on a carnival cruise as well, im only 15 and its my first time ( im not a big fan of water though ) our cruise leaves on the 20th to the bahamas out of jacksonville florida
