I think you should take a break from dating. Trust me, there is so much less drama when you don't have a boyfriend. All those things you listed are the cons of having a boyfriend. Now what are the pros? Companionship? Having a sure date for dances? If the cons outweigh the pros you probably shouldn't have a boyfriend for a while.

You just need to date around. Test the waters. Do not commit yourself to any one guy now. You can go out with the guy that likes you (strictly platonic) and see if you're compatable. But still date others. It doesn't sound like your ex was a great match. If he's playing jokes on you with his friends knowing you still have feelings for him. That's not cool. You need more time to get over your ex before getting into another relationship.
If you're 13, your focus should not be boys. Focus on school. Improve your grades. You're too young to be in a serious commited relationship.
All the best to you.

i agree with AfroSistah! though i know what you mean, i went through somewhat of the same thing myself. though i know it would be hard to do considering i'm trying to do so myself, i think you should try to move on from him. break off any ties you have with him and forget him. try to move on and take some time off of dating to get everything with your mom and grades back in order. that's what i did. almost a year ago and i'm starting to date again now that me and my parents are cool and my grades are back to where they were. i will never date the guy i was dating again, because i've had time to think about everything and understand what was going on.
good luck.

Don't go out with any of them,if you're only 13,goodness,you've got years and years ahead of you to worry about boys. They're not worth the bother most days anyway, lol. Get your grades up,and make up with your mom, when your life is fixed,THEN worry about dating.

I'm not a girl and I'm not gay so I might not even know what I'm talking about, but I'm pretty sure I do, give you're ex a second chance, and if he screws you over again, dump his bony @$$ and go out with a different guy.

No you should wait and get over from your last relationship and get your grade back first. You can always get a guy but not your grades.
