Possibly they feel a sense of responsibility?
It's hard to be objective, but you must try to imagine how you might act if you were in your parents' place.
Try this: Imagine that your 2-year old sister has pushed a chair up to the stove and climbed up on it. She is attracted to the flame burning under a pot of food. She is about to put her hand into the flame when you enter the kitchen.
What did you do? I'll bet you hollered at her in an effort to save her from making a big mistake!
You felt responsible for her because you understood something that she could not.
That's a glimpse at how your parents feel ALL THE TIME!
Be happy that they care enough to worry about you!

I'm old enough now that my parents don't care what I do. But I am a parent myself. I just have a toddler and baby, but I already worry. I already think about how things are going to be when my kids start going out with friends. Kids are kidnapped every day. They get into some kind of trouble every single day. I always want to know where my children are. Even my husband and I tell each other where we are going when we leave....what if something happens to the one who left? What if all they can do is call, but they can't tell you anything? At least you know where they are so you can go look for them and get help there if you need it. Same for kids. If parents didn't love their children, they would never ask or care where they were going. If you are asking this question because your parents do this to you, count your blessings. You were born to parents who love you and care what happens to you.

I'm a mother of three, and I NEED to know at all times where they are, b/c there are so many perverts out there nowadays that take your child in an instant.
You saw that video of that 15 yr old girl that was abducted and the next day ended up dead. They saw the security camera that showed her just walk off with this stranger. She didn't even put up a fight. It's so sad, and very scary for parents. That's why they ask a million questions, b/c it only takes a second for you guys to disapear!

Because they're parents? and it's their responsibility to make sure their children are safe? Or as safe as is possible when kids are out without their parents....It's just questions, answer them truthfully and in time your parents will gradually not worry so much, but the questions will never go away, there just won't be so many of them. :P But beware! Lies always surface...you lie about where you'll be and I swear it'll be the beginning of the end for you. lol. Hang in there, seems like forever but you'll be all grown soon enough and wishing that someone cared enough to want to know where you were and if you were safe. ^_^

parents worry and ask a million questions because they care... because they love their children, because there are a gazillion perverts out there just waiting for an innocent child to come along so they can kidnap, abuse (physically, sexually etc.) and kill... and if the parents of this child don't care enough to know where they are and what they are doing then how long will it be before anyone knows the kid is even missing??hours? days? there are alot of parents out there that don't care about what their kids are doing and God only knows what's happening to those kids... be thankful that your parents love and care enough about you to ask questions....

Yes, they would and they should.
If you parents are asking questions, it means they care about what is happening around you. It isn't always that they don't trust you. Some parents due have trust issues with their kids, but that is an entirely different problem.
When I was a kid, my parents always knew where I was. It was frustrating a bit then, but now that I think about it... I am damn glad they knew where I was. If something were to happen to me and nobody knew where I was, they wouldn't even know where to start.
Be glad your parents give a damn... some parents don't.

you must be a child with good parents.. parents ask those questions not to be nosy but because we want to be involved in our childrens lives. Also, children dont realize how many dangers are lurking out there one moment you are stading around with your friends the next you are in a body bag with a toe tag, or worse yet, pregnant. parents have survived the things that our children are going through and believe it or not they can help......

To make sure you actually went and saw the enitre movie. They are trying to not be grandparents! And they love you enough to care about you. Be glad they care and chill. You can do whatever at 18, but until then its their duty to keep up with you. Children that can go wherever, do whatever, and say whatever are neglected or highly trusted. Sounds like you need to work on building that trust up more.

Becuase so many things can happen to you, your parents are asking so they know what's going on in your life and because they care for your safety. Parents who care about your life are so much better for you than parents who don't give a hoot about where you are or if you are safe.

Maybe because...they love you??? kids don't understand the fact that we live in times that are worse than ever recorded in history! Like I tell mine, I raised them and I know what they will and will not do, HOWEVER, I don't know what anybody ELSE will do. Your parents love you...that's all. They know the world is a scary place and they want reassurance that you are fine. Count your blessings. We live in a world that throws unwanted babies in trash cans. it is a blessing to be loved.
