It's a good place to start, but nothing beats talking to people that actually live in that country and can give first hand experience!

Yes, great sections on trekking in Afghanistan, meeting the clergy of El Salvador, Cruising the Bay of Pigs and South America on one bag of coke a day.

I would not agree with that completely it is just another way the government tries to decide where for you to travel. It is good to look at but do not let it stop you. Most of it is Propaganda honestly.
