Isn't there anyone else with other religious questions?

Or does every other religion already know all there is to know, and they don't feel a need to thrust themselves upon other people?

...

I'm being serious, I haven't seen this much of a lack of diversity since I moved out of my one-religion one-stream-of-thought hillbilly-town. ):

Crazy people trying to preech Islam and the ways of the 40 virgin, needn't apply. :P

Yes, I am a control freak. ;) I was raised to be catholic, afterall.

The comment about the people who post that "Jesus is everything, or you get nothing!" is what I was aiming at. That attitude is horrible, but I keep seeing it repeated. Why don't any of you post "Well, there's THIS... but, you should learn your own path, first."

I've even seen people giving flat out directions on how to join them. Come on, now!

regarding the Islam crack, I'm serious, too. I've heard enough about it. Tired of it. If any Islams wanna take it up with me, we could have a big fist fight in downtown Toronto. I'm totally game. :)

I'm here, I'm Pagan! :: Waves her hand around. ::

I have religious questions, but, I'm a capitalist and a hoarder... so, I don't want to get rid of my points.

I already lost one point today to some ^&#%er that thought it was a good idea to report my answer because it simply disproved their religion.

I don't know everything I need to know.

I've seen lots of Wicca postings here.

A few Muslim postings.

By and large the Hindu and Buddists seem to just like to read.

Christians are missionary by edict, perhaps the others aren't.

Christians are ordered to spread the word. Which is about God, Jesus, Love, Temperance, Tolerance, living a good life, being kind, helpful.

Jews often aren't allowed to spell out God's name and often do it is G-d. In their view God has no name so no name can be used to refer to G-d. God has no image no symbol, even by word.

I don't see a lot of Jewish postings here. They, too, I guess, like to read.

Muslim and cult postings (such as the Mormons) are usually defensive about their own religions or they talk about similarities such as Jesus being in their texts.

I rarely see them making inspriational quotes.

I think the Muslims would have a better time here of they dwelled less on those 72 Vigins and lopping off the heads of Infidels and give us some of Mohammad's and Alah's wisdom. We might be able to grasp that better if we knew there was was love in their belief system.

Which is why this is so Christian oriented. They (we) love to talk about love and the love Jesus and God has for everyone, even Atheists, Muslims, Hindus, Buddists and Scientologists.

If you got a different relgion or question on another religion enlighten us and let's hope we hear Wisdom quotations from religious sources.

That's what the Christians mostly give here. And they(we) are often very fair, treating with compassion and hope even though some questions are technically an afront to God, such as sucide, sex outside of marriage, Gay issues, divorce, etc.

When Chritians do that they often tread on thin ice for "The Bible" says one thing, but the compassion of Jesus says another and we have to balance that out when Jesus had no direct thing to say on a topic or even says the opposite. Jesus openly opposed a man or woman setting aside their spouse, yet we often have something postive to say rather than throwing them into a lake of fire and brimstone as the Bible directs.

Well, kiddo, I can tell you for true that there are plenty of non-Christians on this site, but most leave the religious wrangling and philosophical navel-staring to the Christians, who really enjoy this kind of thing. Jews will only argue religion with other Jews, although they are perfectly willing to kill and oppress those of other religions, they don't generally regard religion as a cause sufficient for murder and mayhem. Mohameddans do regard religion as a sufficient cause for murder and mayhem, but they seldom discuss their religion because it is a poor, feable thing from an objective philosophical perspective. Buddhists are not that big into arguing about their beliefs, although they'll explain them at nauseating length, given half a chance.
Bottom line, if this were a Jewish Forum, you'd see a TON of bickering, and if this were a non-violent forum, you'd see plenty of input from the Buddhists. But since it is an open forum, and given to heated debate, the Christians seem to spend the most time here.
Hope that helps.

Christians would want to pretend that they were the only religion, the fact is that christianity is outnumbered by MANY other religions. Hinduism outnumbers christianity by 3 to 1 on this planet. Islam, almost 4 to 1. Heck, even jainists are equal to christians right now.
But what they lack in numbers, they MORE than make up for in loudly yelled Pious Fraud...

I think the main problem with this section is the fact that folks are only hopped up on insulting eachother's beliefs. There are folks with other religious questions, however, every time I look, there are always some insignificant, ignorant person responding that Jesus is the only way -- which does not help for any open discussions/answers.

Because Christianity is a huge religion involving many different denominations: Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, etc.

I've seen Hindu, Islam, and Jewish folks post answers and such on here as well.

What is it that your looking for and why are you so bitter about Christians? Try opening a book if you want to know about other religions. There are more athiests asking stupid questions and commenting on Christians than there are Christians asking questions.
