don't know... but i had one friend who thinks if you are in a car accident, badly injured... possibly close to death, the doctors will try to salvage your organs before saving you. sick thought, but completely not true.

Because most people cannot see beyond a day when they would be alive. It's hard to think about being dead... but the reality of life is its a means to death. One leads to the other.
I know that when I talk about organ donation (I'm a huge supporter and want everything they can donate from me donated) with my family they tend to FREAK OUT! I understand that talking about death is a hard topic.
WHY ARE HUMANS AFRAID OF DONATING ORGANS: Because they are afraid of death... they kind of go together. Unless you are donating a kidney (you have 2)!!

I dont think they are so afraid, as they feel it is not what the Lord wants us to do. But it is ok to donate and really we are helping so many others.

Because of the Idea of being prounced as a donor while in a accident and instead of them saving you they cut you open.

After you are dead I am sure the fear goes away. It is donating them when you are alive that is slightly unsettling.
