That's way hard! If she's your best friend then you will have to make the sacrifice which sucks, but it's not worth losing a friend over a crush. For all you know you could date this guy once and then end up not dating him ever again. I don't think it's worth it. Now if she does end up going out with him and it ends, consider talking to her about it before you do anything if you still have feelings.
But if you feel like these feelings are too strong to just sit by then you need to talk to her. It would suck if they started to date and you had to see him all the time. Consider that. Would you be able to handle it if he were with her all the time and you always just hung out? If not, talk to her before she does anything. Maybe her crush is no big deal and she'd step aside. Go for him. If he responds then you are doing her a favor as she will know he is not the dedicated type and would not make a good husband. Use him like a toy and then discard him as there are a quadzillion where he came from

If she likes him more than you do, then you need to let it go. Talk to her about it, if she's the type that can handle that sort of conversation. If you realize that she does like him more than you, then tell her to watch his movements to see if he likes her back and if he does, to go for it and make the move! If you realize that you like him more, see what you two can work out.

hey hun...you know there is a whole world of guys out there so there is really no since in crushin' on your friends guy....we all know that the odds of a lasting relation ship with a guy is slim until we get of marrying age and mind...and your friend ship with your gal pal will most likely last forever....i wouldn't take the risk to date him for a few months (or how ever long it is) and possibly loose your friend forever...hope this hleps....love daisy
