A Jewish witch hunt. They have never been forgiven and have suffered the whirlwind ever since.

Jesus was crucified because the Jewish religious leaders at that time didn't like what he was saying and doing. So they got the people to turn against him and got the romas to have him crucified. This way they don't get the blame (or so they thought.)
But the main reason was he died for you my friend because he loves you so very much. He knows that you are a sinner and that you cannot deal with sin on your own. Not just you me too, and every other man and woman on the face of the planet. Jesus died instead of you and me. Its like someone pushes you out of the way when a car is going to hit you because you have walked out in front of it. That person has taken the pain that was rightly yours. Jesus did just that. We deserve to be punished, we deserve to go to hell. But Jesus paid the praice in his death. But he didn't stay dead, he came back to life so that we can know him as Lord and Saviour. What about you.

Jesus was crucified by the romans, who were persuaded by the Jewish leaders, because He claimed to be God. I know He never came right out and said that but His claims to be able to forgive sins and the scriptures He quoted concerning Himself were obvious to those of the time that that is what He was saying. On a simpler note, Jesus accepted His death as being the will of His Father, and He obeyed that will, so that anyone who believes in Him will be offered salvation.

The Jews did.Remember, he was also a Jew. It was prophesied that a Savior was to come. There are 2 descriptions in the old testament. One describes Jesus as a king and another one describes him as being poor. The Roman powers feared his growing power and had him arrested. Pontious Pilot asked the crowd if he should be freed, they refused and let a convicted thief go. It could be that the mob mentality got out of hand. I think he was destined to die and knew. The idea is that he died for the sins of all mankind. There has been found recently the book of Judas that suggests that Jesus made a deal with Judas to turn him in. Of course there are other books of the bible that have been rejected by the Catholic church. have a great day.

Pilate ordered that Jesus to be crucified. he believed that Jesus shouldn't be put to death and ask if the people would accept another that was in prison for just cause to be crucified in His place. the high priest and followers refused and insisted that Jesus be crucified. the roman soldiers then carried out the wishes of the people under direction of Pilate.

Jesus was crucified by Roman soldiers. Going up the chain of command, that order was given by the governor of Palestine, Pontias Pilate. Going further, he was heavily influenced by the massive Jewish crowd gathered in Jerusalem for passover. They were incited by the ultra-conservative Jewish religious leaders.

Why? For several reasons. The main spiritual reason is that it was foretold that Jesus would die in order to pay for the collective sins of mankind, therefore making it possible for anyone to spend eternity with God in heaven. The reason the religious leaders wanted Jesus dead is He not only challenged their teachings, but He also repeatedly publicly humiliated them and they considered Him a threat to their power. Pilate crucified Him because he had been told by Ceasaer that if another uprising occurred in Palestine, Pilate would be ousted as ruler.

According to the Bible, the Romans crucified Jesus (crucifixion was a Roman form of execution), but at the request and pressure of a jewish mob (John 19:7). The jewish leaders wanted to kill Jesus because of jealousy (Mark 15:10) and because they didn't believe he was God as he claimed to be (John 19:7).

But, the Bible is clear that Jesus allowed himself to be crucified (for our sake) (Matthew 26:53-56) and that it was God the Father's will for him to be crucified (Acts 2:23).

So, the Romans crucified Jesus because of fear of the Jewish leaders. The Jews demanded Jesus' crucifixion out of envy and disbelief. And God ordained the crucifixion of Jesus out of love for humanity (John 3:16).

If it occurred at all, the tribunal & executioners had to be Romans. Even the "Jewish" Sanhedrin were puppets of Rome.

Chances are the charges were associated with threats to Roman authority. There was a lot of that in those days. Pilate actually lost his standing with Rome precisely because of his heavy-handed treatment of a local group.

Since the "New Testament" was cobbled together at the direction of Romans and their agenda some hundreds of years after the event, I take their rendition of the events with a large grain of salt.
I mean, how were the new champions of Christianity going to look if they addmitted they'd killed Jesus? And guess what insignificant, powerless group COULD be blamed?

Every single person who ever walked the face of the earth crucified Jesus. He died for the sins of the world and that includes you and I. It was Gods plan that Jesus be the one to reconcile everyone back to himself...that is the WHY of Jesus death, burial and resurrection.

The Romans crucified Him at the demand of the Jews. He was not murdered against His will. They could not have driven the first nail if He had not allowed them. He voluntarily gave His life so that those of us who trust Him will not die. He took all of our sins on Himself and paid the penalty for the sins to save us. That is why He died, so our punishment would die also. When He arose, He did so to bring us into eternal life. He was the first, but now we all live forever. Not just Christians, but all people live forever either in Heaven or hell. That is why Christians try to spread the gospel, because Jesus does not want anyone to die in their sin and spend all eternity in hell.

Some of the Jewish leaders were threatened by Christ because He turned the law on its head. He had this "crazy" idea that people were more important than the law. When you speak out against oppression and injustice, you tend to get crucified, literally and figuratively.
But He got the last laugh.
