All you have to do is sincerely apoligize to God for your sins. Ask the Lord to forgive you and come into your heart. Then tell someone that you have commited your life to Christ. Everyone of us is a work in progress. There will be times when you will sin again. Don't give up and think that God doesn't want you anymore. Ask for forgiveness again and try your best to please him. Thats all he wants us to do. Read your bible and talk to Jesus everyday. As time goes by you will get closer and closer to him. Your life will be so different in a good way. You will have peace and joy. You will still have problems and trials in your life but you will have the Almighty Father on your side and you will always come through better off. I'm so happy for you that you've made this choice, and you will be also. You should also pray for God to lead you to the church he wants you to go to. He will show you believe it. We need a church family to help us stay on the right path. God Bless you and if you need a christian friend to talk to you can email me.

I see others have already sent you examples of prayers you can pray, so I won't do that. If you have accepted salvation and have Him in your heart, WELCOME! I would advise you to find a group for new Christians in your area. It's VERY easy to fall away when you're new to the faith if you have no one to guide you and mentor you. Find an older person who is a Christian and let them help you. Read your Bible for a few minutes everyday, or at least several times a week. Pray often. I've seen so many new Christians who aren't getting any support from their churches. The churches "get them saved" and then leave them to find their way on their own. Find a church with a ministry for new believers PLEASE! As a "baby" in the faith, you need to be fed the "milk of the word." Find a group that will do that for you.

I prefer to accept responsibility for my acts and not put myself in the position of wanting to place the responsibility of all the horrible things which happen to people that are beyond our control at some imaginary diety's door. If your life will be better if you appoint someone who claims to have the authority of god to tell you what is right and wrong and provide you with forgiveness then, certainly, go for it. Most people do.The finite mind cannot grasp the infinite, so I just leave it at that.

Its a simple prayer of repentance from your heart: If you say it and mean it the bible says you will be saved:
Sample:
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, I know I have sinned against God, people and myself. I also know and believe that you died upon a cross and rose 3 days later for my sins. I believe that you are the Son of God and I am asking you to forgive me of my sins. Make me a new creation. Help me to live for you all the days of my life, and I will give you all of the glory and all of the praise.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

God already knows your heart. If you truly want to know him then he will reveal himself to you. Nothing I can do will get you to accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour.
1. Recognize you are a sinner and need Jesus.
2. Repent (change your attitude towards God).
3. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and show you his kind of love.
Thats it folks. ; - )

Try following the A,B,C's (this is what we teach in Vacation Bible School)
A - Admit that you are a sinner, and ask for forgiveness.
B - Believe that Jesus is God's Son and has died to save you from your sins.
C - Commit you heart to God and doing his will.
Then ask Jesus to come and live in you and be your guide in all that you do. You must believe all of this for it to truely work and for the Holy Spirt to come and live in your heart. Pray to God, for anything. He is always there. Good Luck, and God Bless You. I will pray for you also.

OK, it's a great thing you're trying to do, but first of, God or the Lord, is different from Jesus.
And second, as honourable as your intentions might be, noone can help you "accept" Him as He has always been in your heart.
You just don't know it yet....
