My cat Jelly is a 2 yr old male and is neutered and has all his shots
but whenever I leave my stuffed animal tiger on the floor Jelly starts humping it. Is this NORMAL for a neutered cat?

Well we have cats and dogs that do this, so yeah, I think it is very normal especially that they all are active, eating, drinking water, all of that good stuff. I have no idea why it is still a part of some males, other than a dominance thing? Why your cat would want to be "dominant" over a stuffed animal?LOL I have no idea! I wouldn't worry about it unless he starts spraying, and then there isn't a lot you can do but it smells from a male cat!!!That's usual ones that aren't neutered but have also seen(and smelled, lol, yuuuuck)male neutered cats marking their territory. Are there other animals in the house that he is "competing" with for dominance, etc? Good luck and enjoy him! Cute name, Jelly by the way! : )

Have no fear, your cat is normal. While being neutered eliminates the outcome of sexual activity (kittens!) it does not necessarily quell the desire. It's the same in dogs.

On the outside chance your cat was left intact with an incomplete neuter job, and to be safe - let your vet look him over on your next visit.

My parent's have a cat like this, and his behavior is the same - it turns out he does this to their female (spayed) cat to assert his dominance. Good luck!

Depends on how long ago he was neutered. If the hormones had already kicked in, then, yes this will happen.

Often this action is a sign of aggression and domination. You may have an alpha male.

Maybe not normal but I used to have an older male that was neutered who did the same thing, I don't really think that's it's a problem theough

My friend's cats have recreational sex with inanimate objects all the time, so if it's not normal, at least your cat is not the only one.

Yes thats normal. Animals can still mate, they just can't have babies.
