I sure will, everyday people complain about how the country is ran by a bunch of crazy people but the only way to make a difference is to run for those positions in other to make a difference.

I think someone runs for office based upon other things besides their religious background. An ability and desire to serve a municipality or other level of government may come from pride, feelings of obligation, or other things.

Every group knows the advantage of having more from their group in leadership! What office do you hold?

Yes I would. I wouldn't run on a platform religion though.

I've looked at your posts and it seems you spend most of your time on here trying to disprove God or Christianity. That is a pretty sad existance. Why do you feel the need to "disprove" anything, let alone someone's religious beliefs? That just shows what a hateful person you are. If you don't believe then that is on you, but don't try to tear down what others believe. Life is hard and everyone needs to believe something to get them through the difficult times. We Christians are brave enough to tell the world that we believe and place our trust in something greater than ourselves. Why do you make it your mission to try to take that from us? Sad man...real sad. Please stop. Get a life

My Dad actually has been on our State Assembly for 6 years and is up for re-election this year. I hope one day to be able to run for an office one day as well.

Why Christians? Wouldn't you want an honest, hard-working, intelligent and competent person with a good platform and realistic plan to accomplish his/her goals? Nevermind the religious affiliation?

I suppose. It's tough being a persecuted minority. We only have control over the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court. It's just not fair!!

Just what we need, more drunken, drug addicted, draft dodging bible thumpers initiating unnecessary wars of aggression.

The US can't take many more "born again" politicians, we are already bankrupt due to the one we have in the White House. And, with the willing support of his like minded drunks & drug addicted bible thumpers in congress.
