well, you are fat. for a height of 5"5 the ideal weight should be 55 - 65
walking, running, joggin and swimming are the best ways to reduce fat. PS - if you like dancing - then enroll yourself for a salsa class or something - dancing for at least 1.5 hrs a day for 5 months will make you somwhere around 90 - 100 kgs

You weigh about twice as much as you should being your age and height. You should lose a reasonable 100 lbs. to get yourself back to a healthier state of being. It's not going to happen over night and you must change your dietary intake... eat less fats (avoid all trans fats because they add on some serious pounds) and eat more natural foods, such as fruits and vegetables without additives. It will definately take time, but do it while you're young and you have the summer to focus on it.

Yes, need to lose quite a bit of weight! 140 lbs may bee the ideal; but get Real. Go work on reducing to 200 lbs first by taking action - the gym is a pretty good place to start.
Oh, avoid those oily and fried foods. Eat more vegetables and fruits instead of red meat. Eat balanced meals too.

It is good that you have started exercise like..walking & other in Gym. Congratulations for that.
May I give some suggestions? They are:
1. Consult doctor to find out if any medical condition like hormonal imbalance.
2. Watch your diet.... eat food with low carbohydrate & low saturated fat...NO Candy, No Pitza etc.
3. Yoga. Find out best Yoga teacher ...Do regular Yogic Breathing " Pranayam" daily.
4. Sun Gazing following strict instructions, particularly taught by best Guru for that is Hira Ratan Manek (Florida). Visit his website:
www.HIRARATANMANEK.com . In short following his instruction one has to look at Sun at earlist part of day, within first hour after sun rise, walking barefooted as per his instruction.
5. Meditation.
Don't care for any one else opinion, look inside "you".
Be positive, deterimine and start you will be successful.

Yes you are overweight. The exercise is good, but you must modify your eating habits. There is lots of free information out about healthy eating. Consult Weightwatchers, your local health unit, free clinic, or ask your parents to take you to a doctor or nutritionist. Next time you get teased here's a comeback: I can lose weight but you'll always be ugly.

I'm sorry that people have to be so rude and pick on you. I'm close to your age. You could try bike riding and playing Basketball. Trust me. Basketball helps the arms and legs. Bike riding helps you legs and posture.(if you are sitting up straight) At home eat more fruit and vegetables. such as peaches and carrots. Do sit-ups and push-ups more often. I wish you luck. If you ever wan't to talk Email me.
