I want to make sure they test for AIDS, Hep. A, B, and C, Thyroid and anything else I can think of. Will they know what to test for when I say everything or do I have to think of everything? What else should I ask for them to test?

If they tested for EVERYTHING it would cost you over $1,000 and you would have to give about 2 pints of blood.

Well, it isn't really possible to check for "everything" but you can ask for the most common tests as well as any others that you feel you may need. I would recommend adding a fasting glucose test to check for diabetes, or a more sensitive test of insulin function if you're at risk for diabetes. Often the test run for cholesterol is actually a lipid panel that checks LDL, HDL, total cholesterol, and triglycerides. If you're sexually active, you should be tested for STDs unless you're in a mutually monogamous relationship with a disease-free partner. There are hundreds if not thousands of tests that doctors can run. You should talk to your doctor to find out what problems you are at risk of developing, and be sure to test for those. If you're a woman, don't forget your annual Pap test. Depending on your age and risk factors, you may also need to ask about a mammogram.

CBC consists of enzymes, fats, thyroid panel, liver panel

Have you been in high risk group for Hep A, B, C, Herpes, Syphilis, Gonorrea, Aids? If so, yes get tested for these STDs. If you drink or (drank) heavily, liver and pancreatic panels will determine potential concerns to be addressed.

Have them check your triglycerides. These usually correlate with cholesterol, but not always (nothing ever works out that well!). High triglycerides can be a very serious health condition. It runs in my family and has caused much agnony over the years - almost killed my father - before the "diagnosis."
