Reading comprehension basically means being able to understand what you read. You'll be given a paragraph or two (sometimes longer) and asked some questions about what happened in the little story they tell; sometimes instead of a story, they'll tell you about a product or explain a scientific fact or so forth. The answers are usually multiple-choice.

When you are taking the test, take your time, read slowly, don't skim (I have a hard time not skimming), and make sure you understand. Look out for negative words like not, never, didn't, etc; often these will show up in the questions, and one negative can completely change what the answer is!

I can't give better advice than that--- either you understand what you are reading, or you don't. Just take your time, try to relax, and try to really understand what the question is asking before you try to answer.

Good luck!

I been to a Union Pacific hiring session just acouple weeks ago and I didn't have a Reading Comprehension test but an physical ability test which was easy.

I'm sure if you can't read they will notice and not hire you or will just fire you once they find out.
