I personally love the City of Paris, i know it is a romantic city.. i was just wondering-
is there an actual reason for it being called the City of love other than the French are considered to be the most romantic people?

I think in terms of man-made beauty it's one of the most beautiful ones in the world. The flowers, the fountains, the statues, the architecture... It's a place brimming with romantic possibilities.

Paris is the capital of France and capital of fashion. It is one of the biggest cities in Europe. But the most impressive in Paris is the architecture. If you get there you must visit the old center of the city, where you can see the Notre-Dame Cathedral,Sacre-Coeur, La Tour Eiffel, Louvre Museum, Assemblee Nationale, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysées and not forget about Disneyland Paris. Also is said about Paris to be the most romantic city in the world and with no doubt one the most beautiful. The romantic atmosphere is by night, when the city is bathing in lights. But visiting the old monuments is recommended on daylight. If your going to spend some time in Paris, you should definitely take the subway(metro) to admire the Art Nouveau.

French Operas and Ballets are the best in the world in my view. So the two of those and that accent. How could you not feel amour. The food and the wine as well and Paris is the capital city. May have to go there right now. thank you for your question

Well, you asked the question and answered it at the same time. In addition, Paris is a beautiful city with fascinating natural setting. Throughout history and time, romantic and lovable people from the surrounding areas who appreciated beauty, found themselves being attracted to the beauty of that city of Paris. Keep in mind that being lovable / romantic is a trait. Paris got lucky to have those traits.

The city is still very old and beautiful, it didn't suffer from bombing in WWII as the French surrendered, so the beautiful buildings aren't interspersed with modern ones - beautiful surroundings engender a romantic feel.

Personally I'm not a fan of the city - but each to their own.

What else have they got to promote it? An oversized Blackpool Tower, smelly river, restaurants that offer horses, frogs, snails and larks .... and a two-man football team, Henry falls over, ZZ takes the penalty, Henry falls over, ZZ takes the penalty, Henry falls over, ZZ takes the penalty ... Come On you corrupt Italians, sort them out!
