well the good news is that the mum didn't abandon the chicks obviously since the whole nest fell out of the tree and the chicks weren't kicked out.

Also since that the nest is destroyed (otherwise I would say put it back in the tree as high as you can), get a little cain basket, or box or whatever you can find that's small enough, put some hay/grass/leaves in there and put the babies in the make shift nest (don't worry, most birds won't abandon their chicks just cause you touched it). Now go the tree nearest to where you found the nest, and secure the makeshift nest as high as possible, making sure that no predators can get to it. Keep an eye out for the mum. She'll be looking for them, once she spot them she'll take over again.

If there's still no sign of her around after an hour or two, bring the babies in and give them some meshed up wet cat food mixed with some warm milk and if you have it, egg and biscuit mix. bugs and worms are good too if you can get it to eat it. but some may be too young to know what to do with it.

Good luck

If you can't get the nest back in the tree and you want to save them try this: Keep the babies warm with a heating pad or a lamp (don't cook em). Get some commercially prepared baby bird formula from your local pet store. If the babies are still naked you have to make the formula VERY thin and feed them frequently. As soon as their crop (that little sac on the front of their neck) empties it's time to feed them again. As they get bigger you can thicken up the formula. I have used the Kaytee formula designed for baby parrots with pretty good success. You can also make your own formula with ground seeds, peanut butter, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and some lactobacillicus powder (get it from the pharmacist). Feed the babies with an eyedropper and be careful to clean any spilled food off them before it hardens. If you're uneasy about caring for them call the local DNR office and they can usually give you the number of a bird rehabilitator who will take them from you. Good luck.

Take a jar with a lid or a balloon & fill it with WARM water. place it in a box with a towel. Place the baby birds up against the jar or balloon. It is very crucial that the baby birds STAY WARM. This will bide you enough time to take them to a vet. Most vet's offices work with some type of bird rescue organization who will take the bird, rehabititate it (if sick or injured) and will release it back into the wild...

Go to either petco or petsmart and buy some baby bird formula and a syringe and ask a avian vet on how u feed the bird and how much time you should warm up the formula!

Yeah I agree with them, try putting them back, and if you can't and they have their mouths open, try feeding them some worms. I wouldn't touch them that much because the mom might not want them back. Good Luck!!!!!

try to put the nest back. the mom might come back, and if she doesn't, take them in. to make sure they don't starve though, try to get a few cut up worms and feed it to them. good luck!

If you touch them, the mother will ignore them and abandon them and they will die. Try not to touch them and see if the mother returns.

Or call animal control to ask for their advice.

first of all figure out what type of birds they are, then you can see what kind of food they eat. But maybe you should call the humane society.
