I do not get mad as I understand that when an idiot has nothing more to say he scratches his head and says" nuff said". The best thing you can say when someone says this to you simple reply to them with "it is only enough when the smart one says it is enough and since we know you are not smart by any stretch of the imagination it is not enough till I say "nuff said" and now I am saying it "nuff said".

In the description you provide, I do believe "nuff said" was used as a put-down, but I would suggest considering the source and moving on.
My favorite use of "nuff said" is from the menu at Judy's D&G on Fredrick Avenue in St. Joseph, Missouri. One of the items is simply described thus: "Turkey fries, served in generous portions. Nuff said." In that case, "nuff said" means, "Nothing more need be said; those words were sufficient to describe the meal."
It's a good phrase - but can be used in a variety of ways.

People don't know how they sound to others sometimes. "Nuff said" sounds like "Time to shut up -- and I mean you." I also hate when someone is talking to you on the phone and says "I'm going to hang up now," when they mean "I've got to get going." It sounds like they want to hang up on you in anger or because they're sick of talking to you.

It's not your job to teach ignorant people who don't want to learn or think. So leave it at that.
But maybe he was really in a rush to go somewhere. He didn't even have enough time to say the word "enough"

Only ignorant people say that. I tend not to surround myself with those individuals, so I don't have to deal with it. Ignorance makes me angry, but when I do run into it, I just shake my head and feel sorry for them.

It depends on the context and the attitude in which it is said.

I hate THAT! I usually add, "said the a**hole!" after someone says that. It is like your opinion or voice dosen't matter.
