my ex and i broke up a year ago, he said he wasnt ready for commitment. He still texts me. He text me last saturday saying he was at a stag and part of the message read "the place is full of ladies but tell me why am i thinking of you" he said in another that "commitment scares him BIG BIG BIG time" thinks hes afraid of being let down or something. Why is he still doing this to me? Its not like hes using me in the sex department as we hadnt got to that stage...

Just stop reading his TM's. I mean, ex's are that way for a reason. Tell him that! If he broke up with you, then remind him of that fact too (like, "You didn't want me then, so tough sh!t, get lost, don't call me again, etc"), and tell that loser to get on with his wretched life! If you dumped him there had to be GOOD reason, right? Either way, it's OVER.
Tell him to leave you alone or you'll contact the authorities - he's at the beginning stages of stalking!
Change your cell phone number & start screening your calls at home. Just stop responding to him at once, after you've told him to get away from you. You don't need his kind of emotional drama or blackmail.

Obviously he still thinks and cares about you. You're the girl that got away. He'll always think of you that way and that is good. If I were you, stay away for as long as you can but be nice to him. I don't know how old you guys are but no one under 30 should commit. Life changes way too fast too soon in todays world. Good Luck!

He is just letting you in on his mixed feelings...he means well but doesn't realize his comments of his affection for you are also reminders that your not the one he wants all the time...Try and be understanding I don't think its intentional, he just hasn't given up on the two of you and wants you to know it...he is just alittle rough around the edges when it comes to expressing his shyness toward commitment.

Every guy wants a "good-girl" and your his idea of it right now.
do you want this guy? if so, take him. tell him how it is going to go down. Make demands
or
If you want to move on... tell him you have a date with someone and new guy dont want me to talk to guys in non-plantonic ways. especially X's.

he likes you but is still looking for something better- I guess it all depends on why you both broke up - it sounds like he broke it up - maybe he is having an identity crisis and is unsure of what team he is playing for?
