We had a fun wedding--we each had been married before, and it didn't take for each of us, so we decided to just have a good time. We rented a large pontoon boat on a lake, invited about 30 people who were required to wear "proper" attire--jeans or shorts. We made salads, had a cake from the grocery store, and the owner of the pontoon boat grilled hamburger and hot dogs. The wedding cards we used were just plain "We're Having A Party!" cards, and where it has a blank for the occasion, we wrote "Our Wedding!" The minister said it was the best wedding she'd ever been to!

Usually the brides parents invite guests to a wedding. But if this is not an option just keep it simple.
Like:
(First name maiden name) and (first name last name)
invite
so and so
to join them to celebrate their union of matrimony
Date etc.
