Yes, but, when we are harmed by others, it is not OUR free will that does that, but someone else's, so techinically they could blame it on God for giving the bad guy that free will in the first place. Besides, he gets credit for the good stuff, but not the bad? Sounds pretty egotistical to me.

If God made this world and the potential for all these problems, and we're all supposed to be appreciative of life and the world, then God also has to take responsibility for its actions.
If I pour gasoline all over your house and it happens to catch fire. You'd totally blame me. That's similar. God set up a world with so many problems ready to happen, even if God didn't start them.
By the way, I'm not this pessimistic but am just pointing out that point of view, in a sincere manner. A pure failure to see this point of view only shows how naive some people are.

God gives everybody a free will which does mean people choose to hurt us the same way we choose to hurt others. So if you ask, why does God allow it to happen, you can answer it by your own actions. Its all choice and the bible says, Num 32:23 But if you will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out. Be sure means you can count on it. If we would let God be God we wouldnt have as many questions against Him. Dont forget , 2Cr 9:6 But this [I say], He which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Gal 6:7 Dont be deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap.
Mocked means to turn the nose up, We dont turn our nose up at God and think we will get away with it.

Because people have to blame everybody or something but themselves. Eventally the run out of things and people to blame. So god is there last option. Some people just cant admit that they have problems.

It's easier for people to blame God or somebody else then to take the blame for themseves. The devil/satan isn't blamed because people think that God shouldn't let it happen.

b/c of the lies that have been told on HIM. satan is always causing things and God always gets blamed. some just don't know the God of Love that the Bible speaks about. if they did, then they would never accuse God.
James 1:13 says, "for with eveil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."
sometimes we are the cause of our problems b/c of inherited sin.
next time we want to blame someone, we may want to look in the mirror.

God takes all the credit for the good things people do, yet he cannot accept blame for the problems people have.

It's easier than taking personal responsibility. If a person looks to god to provide or protect and they are harmed, it is easier to blame god for allowing these things to happen.
I am a huge believer in free will - and yet people become angry with god for things that happen that are beyond our control.
Example - a loved one dies - being angry with god is a normative part of grieving. No free will necessarily lead to the death of the loved one. Things just happen sometimes - children get cancer, people die in accidents that are not their fault, tragedies occur. When we cannot integrate our experiences, it is easier to be angry with god.

It's usually your own fault for your own problems.
Most people blame their parents, some God entity, and anyone else but themselves due to their own immaturity and lack of taking on responsibility for their own flaws.
God is a hoax. Don't buy in to the myth.

In our human nature, we are unable to fully accept responsibility for our own actions. As a result, we look for any thing that we can push the blame to. Look at Adam and Eve. They did it at the beginning of mankind. We get too caught up in wanting to appear perfect in front of everyone that we like to "sugar-coat" our lives. It's merely another flaw of man that has existed since the fall of man.
