You've seen the exorcist and emily rose and all, but why is it that they were and not many others? I know it sounds crazy but why to these people? Could it be that God was going to use them for something great and the devil decided to interupt? Wouldnt that defeat the whole Good over evil and God is more powerful? I happen to believe God is....but why does this happen?

As far as I'm concerned, the cases that inspired both the exorcist and Emily Rose (Anneliese Michel and that kid who lived around DC, US), are considered to be the result of psychological problems. There is no evidence to claim they were possessions.

But yet, William Peter Blatty keeps saying the exorcist story is true, it's been a good business for him after all.

It is a very hard question to answer because the answer can only be speculation. The first thing to realize is that not every case of possession gets reported to the public, the Catholic church is very secretive about those things, primarily to protect the family of those possessed. Think about if it was your daughter who had that happen...you wouldn't want it on the news either, would you? God works in mysterious ways, but in the case of Emily Rose the possession served to bring about discussions like this very one, and those discussions strengthen the faith of believers and can also convert non-believers.

by the way the exorcist is not a true story n in the exorcism of emily rose the girl might have had mental problems , i personaly believe that humans are made of mud n demons are made of fire so how can they possibly mix ??? - that way a human cannot be possesed-

Deamons can only posses unbelievers if they have a doorway to get in. For some its hate, adultery, experimenting in magic or the occult or even the love of material thing, and by these instances i mean extream casses not you everday feelings. They dont have a right to posses unless they give them one. And satan will never posses because he will not take the chance of being exercised and the only 2 people he has and will is Judas and the anti-christ..

I can tell you Emily Rose, AKA Anneliese Michel , had every symptom of lead poisoning, as well as probably asbestos poisoning.

Her parents and priest thought she was "possessed". The courts viewed it differently. After her death, the parent and priest were tried and convicted. Despite the movie's ending.

This never happens except in folklore and in the movies.
No ghosts, no goblins, no demons understand?
Put away childish things and grow up.

No-one becomes posessed by demons. That was just ancient man's way of explaining psychological problems.
