Mexico is one of the most corrupt governments in the world. They receive billions in aid, and very little goes to the people in need. The police are amongst the most corrupt in North America. This is the reason why so many of their citizens are risking their lives coming here even for the low level jobs

Well if Mexico's government was so great people would be risking their lives to go there. Since its the other way around, I'm thinking Mexico's is worse.

I think both are equally corrupt, but the American people do not want to admit it. Mexico doesn't hide it's poverty like America does. I have had so many people tell me that America doesn't have a large population of poor, and the masses will tell you, you are wrong. Most poor people can not afford to pay a phone bill much less rent an internet service provider. So they have no voice, and when people feel they have no voice they feel violated, and disgaurded. Crime levels are booming, and so is the population of poor in America, however you will hear little about it in the media. Thirty years ago minimum wage in America was $2.13 an hour, and now it is $5.15 an hour. It takes an hours worth of earning to purchase one and half gallons of gas, which in most cases is not enough to even get the worker to work and home for one day. After working for one day, many Americans have earned almost a full tank of gas, then there is rent/house payment, utilities, insurance for home, and car, phone bills, then comes the cost of food, and clothing. In order for an American to pay the bills on minimun wage they must work at least 60 hrs a week, which most companies will not allow, because of high costs to employ. Out of the estimated 300 million people living in America, I doubt that the mass earn above minimum wage, and if they do, they are not paid much above it. It took my father 8 years to go from $6.00 an hour to almost $9.00 hr. We have a family of five and my mother is in need of a new heart, so there is no money left. In fact we are in debt severely because of her medical bills. I have worked since I was forteen to help my father support our family, and this is the case for most everyone I went to school with, and work with. My mother forced education down our throats, even when we had to come up with extra money to pay for it, because of the violence, and danger in the public schools. Both of my sisters are working to put themselves through college, and as soon as I am done helping support them, and they graduate, it will finally be my turn. By the time that takes place I will be 23 years old. By American standards I should be almost done with my education by that time, but I will just be beginning, just like most of my friends, who will probably start families of their own, and the rest of their education will fall to the way side.

This is not a valid question because no one wants to immigrate to Mexico. If Mexico was a rich and prosperous country, they would have immigration issues too. They are not so they do not.

Look at the living condition of a typical family in Mexico. Then look at a typical family living in America. That should answer your question.

When it comes to immigration? The U.S is worse, hands down.
Mexico enforces their laws, something I wish the U.S would do instead of being at the feet of another country.

we are worse in a sense that we are soft. do you know what would happen if you just sneaked into Mexico, tried to go to the hospital and get free care, whine that no one spoke English, and expect free education for your kids? they would kick you out, or say "no, tough luck, you are not a citizen" so fast it would make your head spin!

I think Mexico's strict immigration laws and willingness to enforce them are better.

I don't want to shoot people who cross the border illegally, however.

Mexico enforces its immigration laws and our government won't. Our government needs to get off their fat lazy butts and start doing the job they are paid to do.
