there is this maintenance guy at work who comes in like 5-10 times a day because there is a storage room at the back of my work place, and whenever he would go there -- he'd stop by, stand next to me or like 1-2 feet away and would just stare at me or sometimes would talk nonsense and i don't want to talk to him! he has a reputation for being a maniac, some female workers have already complained about him grabbing their butts, but he is cautious towards me -- because he knows i could kick his *** (black belter) but he would hang around and i hate it because he stinks! and he calls me "my love" in his native language -- and it's bugging the hell out of me! i've already told him to stop staring at me because i don't like that! and i feel offended by that, but he wouldn't stop. that's as far as he can go, but i want to beat the crap out of him. what the hell should i do? i cannot file sexual harrassment against him since he hasn't touched me.

Sounds like he's just a dirty old man that likes the ladies.
He doesn't have to touch you to sexually harrass you , anything he is doing repeatedly that makes you feel uncomfortable (staring , flirting) can be sexual harrassment. But that is a harsh way to handle the situation unless you feel threatened by him.
The best thing would be just talk to your supervisor about the situation.

If hes touched other women at work and it was reported then he should have been fired. Since he wasn't ,going to a boss probably won't help. Report it to OSHA There a safety orgination for work places. This is a safety issue. If it continues either he will hurt you or you him. Theres other orgs you can go to also. If this doesn't work kick his ***. You'll probably get fired if you do but who would want to work where they allow this kind of thing to continue. You can also go to the police and see if they will get involved. Beating him up should be a last resort. Sometimes it comes to that. Good Luck.

IF not sexual harrassment, what about stalking? He's invading your space! Sounds like an idiot to me and I'd jump right on it so you don't become the next victim! You may be helping others out that are too afraid to do anything about it! Go for it and help yourself and other females that don't need this crap. Also, keep a record of every incident...I wish you safety and luck.... and don't use your black belt talent unless you have to :)

Yes you can, even if he has not touched you but talks nonsense and says my love in his native language which you do not like. No one has the right to tease you any way. Go forward without any hesitation and fie a case of sexual harassment against him and kick his ***.

yes you can file harrassment charges...even though he didnt touch you he is making it a hostile work environment.....but you also need to tell him point blank to back off...once you notify the proper people at work(HR) they have to do soemthing about it...because if they dont do anything and its documented that you filed a complaint and then this guy does do something like touch you then the company is in alot of trouble...as in law suit from you....I seen it happen where I worked...person kept complaining about this one person..HR did nothing and then that person did something over the top...company was sued for not doing what they should have and lost the suit.... so tell this guy to back off and then go to HR...you dont have to tell him thats what youre going to do if he doesnt stop....just go do it...and if other would do the same even though he did stuff to them in the past and they file a complaint its all DOCUMENTED....key word......oh and for the record...him calling you "my love" is sexual harrassment.....

actually I think you CAN file sexual harrassment. You don't have to wait till they touch you from what I remember. Is there a boss or someone who would pay attention to your complaints? This is guy is SCARY!

*I think you should kick his *** anyway!*

You should complain to your boss and let him know that you do not feel comfortable or safe with the guy watching you. Also it is sexual harassment if someone calls you out of your name even if it is baby, sweetheart of love. Go complain.

Kick his *** and tell him to piss off. If he knew you could do that like you say then do it. Tell your supervisor to keep an eye on him and talk to some of the girls who did get their butts grabbed to file the complaint. That outta fire the sorry mother f******. Have fun.

You sure as heck can complain to your supervisor or HR dept. and if nothing is done, send the complaint to them IN WRITING requesting that something be done or asking them if it's okay for you to contact the police regarding his harassment. He doesn't have to touch you to harass you. He's definitely out of line!

GIRL, THIS IS PRETTY SERIOUS. YOU'D BETTER FIRST TELL THE BOSS ABOUT THE SITUATION. IF NOTHING HAPPENS, GO TO THEIR BOSS. THAT'S DEFINITELY NOT A HEALTHY PLACE TO WORK IF ITS HAPPENING TO OTHER GIRLS.
SEXUAL HARASSMENT IS LOOKING UP AND DOWN AT A PERSON, OR MAKING TOUCHING, OR TALKING SEXUALLY TO SOMEBODY WHO DOESN'T WANT TO HEAR IT. IF THE BOSS'S DON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, FIND ANOTHER JOB...OR TELL HIM YOU'LL MEET HIM IN THE PARKING LOT AFTER WORK...J/K
