OK
Tecate is really bitter beer so a Little lemon juice and salt make it better

Corona, the reason the put the lemon or lime is because the way they sale that beer in the Mexican desert is with lime so it keep flies away from the bottle not for add flavor.

in Guatemala if you put V8 juice, Worcestershire, lemon and salt in a beer you got a Michelada

Not sure I completely understand your somewhat cryptic question, but if you meant "Why do people put a lemon in their beer?" it's probably because they are drinking a "hefeweizen" or wheat beer, which is traditionally drunk that way; If you perhaps meant a lime, mexican beers like Corona are served that way, and the lime is supposed to be wiped around the lip of the bottle or beer glass (supposedly the acid kills the germs. Often Mexiacns do not differentiate between lemons and limes, calling them both "limon"-so maybe that's what you are asking?); If you have friends who just squeeze a lemon in their beer, I would guess they like the taste, wouldn't you?

Cheers!

I don't like the taste of beer but whenever I am offered it (if I'm drinking at the time) I'll accept it with lemon juice in it and some salt, we call the mixture a "Michelada"it's quite popular here (i do this because I can't stand beer's taste). I've had it served to me with lime, salt, and worschestershire sauce (sp?).

The citrus flavor brings out additional flavors within the beer. Most commonly, people may squeeze a lemon into a glass of hefeweizen (wheat beer) to give it extra tanginess. People squeeze a lime into Corona...because without the lime it would taste like water.

Well I personally don't drink beer but my sister does and she adds lime salt to her BudLight all the time and I have asked her why she says it gives it a better taste cause some people don't like the bitter taste of beer and she prefers the taste it gets with the lime salt. Who knows maybe one of these days I will get the courage to try one with her.

This is a practice one sees mostly in America where we all drink substandard beer. It seems also that the poorer one is the more likely they are to do this, because they buy cheep beer that taste like pee pee. If you are drinking a good German beer you are not likely to be doing this although there are those who are so used to there lime/ salt beer they still do it.

They are probably not drinking a very good beer. Dos Equis is much better than Corona and you don't need a lime to kill the taste.

I think its just personal preference. I drink Miller Lite routinely without any lemon, salt, etc. But on occassion I'll have a few Dos Equis (XX) WITH salt and lemon/lime.
